3 Tier Cake Stand

Cake is usually considered a favourite dessert and normally when people are invited to dinner they can expect to be served some form of cake. A 3 tier cake stand is not something you would be served at a small casual dinner. There you would probably get a flat cake of some sort, served on a very normal cake stand.

Now let us move the scene to a more formal party, a catered buffeted dinner, and there at the end of the buffet food line are the deserts. That's right; there you have a 3 tier cake stand in all its glory. It all depends on the type of crowd, the type of party being hosted and the menu planned with the caterers by the hostess. However, cake has taken on a new life of its own; it is being served with regularity at most every occasion dinner.

Cake stands always make a cake look elegant and decorative, and the 3 tier cake stand is usually spied at weddings. Elaborately decorated stands accompany flamboyant cakes and it seems cake has indeed come into its own.

People seem to be very aware that there is certain cake etiquette to be held fast to and that certain stands must accompany certain cakes only and so forth. You have a wide variety of cake stands available on the market and most homes will have at least two stands, the simple single cake holder and the slightly more elaborate two tiered cake holder. The 3 tier cake stand is not so much in evidence save for the hotels and caters, but I would hazard a guess that the affluent homes definitely have one lurking somewhere should the need arise.

Apart from the 3 tier cake stand, you will also find professional cake stands that will hold four and five tier cakes with the hotels, if not anyone else. There are also portable cake stands that are part of the decorative or single layer cake stands, perfect for the home bakers or small bakeries. The professional stands will be decorated elaborately, hence it is essential when choosing your cake that you choose a stand that will complement and not clash with and ruin your cake. Now that cakes are being used as decoration as well as dessert, it certainly wouldn't do to have things clashing and ruining everything now would it!
